How do I calculate Range/Bearing and manage the database?

Having  been a computer professional since the mid 1960's, and a fisherman long before that, so collecting fishing locations and saving them on a computer was a easy task. I had accumulated a healthy list of LORAN C numbers and really needed a better way to manage those numbers. Having the TD's was great, but it would be better if I could compute the range and bearings to the fishing spots, a computation that was beyond my understanding as a "business" person.

I do not remember exactly when I found out about
Andren Software, but it solved the range and bearing calculation problem, and I have been using the program for many, many years. It has more capabilities than I have ever used, and I strongly suggest you get a copy to manage your own personal GPS list.  When the standard changed from LORAN C to LAT/LON, Andren had (and still does) a conversion program that let you precision calibrate the conversions using local knowledge, so my "old" LORAN C numbers were converted to LAT/LON for the new GPS systems.  The only problem that I have is that  although the "comments" column is long enough for lengthy comments, it will not print on the same line as the other pertinent items in an Andren Report, so I must do several  cut and paste operations to an Excel spreadsheet to create the attached reports in the format that I prefer. That aside, it is a GREAT program. Go to www.andren.com to look at the extensive capabilities or call
